I work with children and specialize in trauma therapy.
I began my career as a therapist in 2015 working in child welfare. I worked in private adoption and foster care and gained important skills to meet my clients where they are and give them an opportunity to be heard and understood. I stayed in that field until 2019 when I shifted to Child & Family therapy. I worked in a youth residential treatment facility for three years where I provided individual and family trauma therapy. Presently, I work full-time in an alternative education setting for children and adolescents with mental and behavioral health needs. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and am passionate about working with children and their families. I believe that the more we understand about our thoughts and feelings, the more ability we have in managing them in a healthy way. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, social challenges and behavioral needs. With family members and caregivers, I work to repair/restore relationships, increase communication, and empower healthy and safe roles within the family system.
