Assessment & Testing

ADHD Assessment & IQ Testing

Real evaluation. Real expertise. Real answers.

Understanding how someone thinks, learns, and functions starts with more than checking a list of symptoms.

At Lilac Therapy Center, our assessments are conducted in person by an experienced, doctoral-level psychologist who takes the time to understand the whole person—not just a questionnaire or screening result.

Our evaluations consider your history, strengths, challenges, cognitive functioning, attention, executive functioning, and other factors that may be affecting how you or your child functions at school, work, home, or in relationships.

We offer ADHD assessments for children ages 5+, adolescents, and adults, as well as IQ-only evaluations.

A More Complete Picture

Why We Include Performance Measures in ADHD Evaluations

ADHD can affect much more than attention. It can influence impulse control, processing speed, working memory, cognitive flexibility, and executive functioning.

At Lilac, performance-based measures give us an opportunity to observe these skills directly in a structured setting — adding another layer of information to interviews, history, and rating scales.

What this can help us understand:

  • Attention and impulse control

  • Executive functioning and cognitive flexibility

  • Individual strengths and areas of difficulty

  • How cognitive skills may be affecting everyday life

  • Information that can help guide personalized recommendations

No single test can diagnose ADHD. A comprehensive evaluation brings together multiple sources of information to develop a clearer, more individualized picture of how a person thinks, learns, and functions.

The goal isn't simply to answer, “Does this person have ADHD?” It's to understand the whole person — and provide recommendations that are meaningful and useful.

Our Thoughtful Approach to Assessment

Assessment Across the Lifespan

ADHD doesn't look the same for everyone—and symptoms can change as people grow.

Our assessments are available for: Children ages 5+ • Adolescents • Adults

We consider developmental stage, individual history, strengths, challenges, and the environments in which concerns are showing up.

Meet Dr. Gabriella Terry

ADHD and IQ assessments for children, teens, young adults and adults are conducted by Dr. Gabriella Terry, an experienced, doctoral-level psychologist.

Dr. Terry brings extensive clinical experience from educational settings, college counseling centers, and community mental health.

Gabriella approaches assessment with the same person-centered philosophy that guides her clinical work. She believes that meaningful evaluation goes beyond identifying symptoms to develop a clearer understanding of an individual's strengths, challenges, cognitive functioning, and unique needs. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized feedback and recommendations that help clients and families better understand how they think, learn, and function.

Additional Offering: IQ-Only Evaluations

IQ EVALUATION – $600

An IQ-only evaluation may be helpful for private school admissions, gifted testing, or other situations where an assessment of cognitive ability is needed.

Includes:

  • 2-hour testing session

  • Brief IQ report

IQ-only evaluations do not include a formal feedback meeting or recommendations.
